A Half Day Program
A Half Day Program

Overview

There is a difference between mental health and mental illness. Just as we all desire to be physical healthy, we equally want to feel healthy mentally to.

At workplaces, mental health has become a top priority as organisations recognise that when people feel stressed, anxious, depressed, etc, they frequently under-perform and/or go on medical/emergency leave.

In line with the Malaysian government’s initiative to ensure healthier workplaces, it is targeted that every workplace should have a pool of employees who are capable of functioning as an occupational mental health first aider.

The role of an occupational mental health first aider is not to serve as a psychiatrist or psychologist but to:

a) Recognise tell-tale signs that an employee may be experiencing a mental

health challenge

b) be there for the employee who is experiencing a mental health challenge

c) help the employee achieve a calmer emotional state, before

d) helping coordinate the employee with resources such as counsellors and

trained medical professionals.

This half day program will equip you with the skills you need to function as an

occupational mental health first aider within your organisation.
